KBL Champions Excellence in Education

Kgalagadi Breweries Limited (KBL), through its community initiative Beyond the Brew, proudly sponsored two awards at the Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (BUAN) 7th Graduation Ceremony held on October 11, 2024.

This year’s sponsorship, valued at P10,000, honoured two exceptional students: Mphose Omphile (Best Student in BSc Agricultural Mechanization) and Sekana Thatayaone (Best Student in Food Science and Technology), who each received P5,000 in recognition of their academic achievements.

This initiative is driven by KBL’s Beyond the Brew program, which focuses on sustainability, community growth, and empowering future leaders in critical sectors like agriculture, value chain development, and food security. KBL has gone into a three-year partnership with BUAN, committing to P10,000 annually to award excellence in agriculture. “We are proud to empower the next generation of leaders in agriculture and food science,” said Olorato Taleyana, Legal Analyst at KBL. “These sectors are essential to Botswana’s sustainable development, and with initiatives like Beyond the Brew, we are not only supporting future innovators but also encouraging a mindset change that prioritises sustainability and progress.

Together, we can create a future with more cheers and meaningful impact.” KBL’s Beyond the Brew program continues to impact communities through education, health, and environmental sustainability, championing initiatives that build a better future.
